Liz earned her B.A. in International Studies and Justice and Peace Studies with a minor in Spanish from the University of St. Thomas. During her undergraduate career, she spent two semesters abroad with Augsburg College’s Center for Global Education in Mexico and Central America, which included extensive travel through Guatemala, El Salvador, and Nicaragua. Her studies abroad focused on language, culture, and the politics of social change within the regions. Additionally, she completed a year-long internship with youthrive!, a Minneapolis based non-profit which advocates for youth development and empowerment, during which she coordinated community wide service learning projects and educated young people on the work of Nobel Peace Prize laureates.
Liz works primarily on deportation and humanitarian based applications, including U-visas, hardship waivers, asylum, and cancellation of removal cases. She is fluent in Spanish.
