Kate graduated cum laude with a J.D. from the University of St. Thomas School of Law and magna cum laude from Carleton College. She received the Dean’s Award in Administrative Law, Health Law, Immigration Clinic, and Lawyering Skills, and the Dean’s Scholarship (2007-2010). Kate completed a Judicial Externship with Hennepin County District Judge William R. Howard. During law school, she served as Vice President of the Women Law Student Association.
Kate represents companies in I-9 employer sanctions cases, and she handles investor, researcher, adjustment, and naturalization cases. She also works with families pursuing immigrant visas through hardship waiver applications, and represents individuals in removal proceedings. Kate speaks Spanish.
